Gentle


Come join our 60 minute Gentle practice on awakening hips and stretching out the back. Finish out with a deep relaxation session to integrate and restore.

This is a 30 minute Gentle practice beginning with a short centering and standing postures, soothing flows, deep stretches and ending with a sweet relaxation.

In this Gentle 45 minute practice the focus is around relaxation. A great technique if you're feeling overwhelmed, fatigued or are just looking for a little break. This is also a fabulous precursor to a meditation or an excellent way to end out a yoga practice. The class begins with a little bit of movement so that the body and mind may be able to let go with a little more ease. Enjoy.

In this hour you will take taken on a Gentle journey with Eric. This class is a full body practice that invites in some energy. Its recommended for all times of day except before bed and will be especially useful for the morning or early afternoon. Enjoy moving with awareness and getting a good stretch in.

Its Gentle time! This class welcomes a focus around spinal mobility with gentle and playful flows. Intentionally creating space and moving with a meditative ease. With some of these movements you may develop a little bit of heat if you wish.

This hour long Gentle practice invites you in to a pulsation style of flow. Allows for a bit of heat and a deeper expression when holding postures (asanas).

Chakra 1: Welcome to your first of seven in series of gentle classes based on the Chakra system. Follow Eric as he takes your through a practical approach to this system for the Root chakra. A great grounding practice for anyone.

This gentle practice led by Eric invites you into creating space in the body for breathing. This builds awareness of movement, deepens breath and will ease up tension that can restrict respiration.

Stretch and Chill:

This is a tamer side of gentle. Eric invites through some mobility exercises, joint care, tapping practice and sweeter stretches all with a relaxed pace.

Come relax, move and sweeten up your day.

Ease and Breathe:

A shorter soothing gentle practice. Great for those who need a break from a busy day or a busy mind or a tight and tired body. This practice is centred around doing what feels good for you. Enjoy!

Morning Mobility:

In this 30 minute short and sweet practice is perfect for the start of your day. Follow along as Eric takes you through a mindfulness practice, pranayama, spinal movements and leg swings.

Bright and Shine:

Join Eric for a gentle but enlivening practice great to complement the beginning of your day or into the afternoon. Some fun and playful sequences await you in this 30 minute class.

Chakra #2:

Join Eric for the second video in a gentle series on practicing with the chakra system. You can start on any of there chakra videos or try them from start to finish. This sacral focusing practice will help you work on this creative and fluid centre.


Intermediate


This hour long Intermediate practice led by Eric brings you into a series of flows where he invites you to gain a stronger meditative perspective. This playful style creates a strong awareness of the body and breath to help get more out of each posture and practice.

Join me for a nice warming Intermediate flow class. This hour long practice includes elements of pranayama, balance postures, with leg and upper body strengthening postures.

This 30 minute Intermediate class invites you to create some energy and heat in the body with heart openers, warriors and breath work. Short but sweet, take a moment afterwards for a little meditation or Savasana.

Welcome to an hour long Intermediate practice centered around the hips and shoulders. Releasing tension and stress in these regions with some playful flows which will end with a guided relaxation.

A 30 minute Intermediate flow focusing on a standing practice and building into a flow Eric dubs “the warrior of love” sequence, moving into deep hip openers and finishing with a meditation or the option to relax into Savasana.

Welcome to your intermediate practice where Eric takes you through a mainly shoulder and heart opener based practice to aid in a healthy posture. Pulse in and out of postures and work through some fun flows. Breathe and flow releasing tension and freeing up some space in the body.

Yoga For Runners #1:

This practice is for everyone but is designed for post exercise especially after a run, cardio, leg workout, bike or hike. This is a bit more of an active class so grab your mat and join Eric for a big stretch-out.

Next level side body:

Join Eric for a unique deep dive into micro engagements focused on side body strengthening and stretch. Intermediate intensity.

Ab Burner:

This intermediate practice will take you on a continuous slow burn journey for your abdominals. Take some time warm up, set up and get the most from this fiery class.

Flow and Fly:

This intermediate Vinyasa (flow) practice takes you through some sun salutation variations, strengthening upper and lower body and ends with a playful peak pose.

A Playful Flow:

Eric takes you on a playful vinyasa (flow) practice built around a basic Sun Salutation template where you are offered modifications and exciting variations. A little heat is welcomed during this nearly hour long practice.

Intermediate: "Standing Room Only"

Welcome to this 30 minute energizing practice built around standing postures only. Let Eric guide you through a nice warming series from balancing postures to warrior flows.


Vigorous


An hour long vigorous offering with several flows building a considerable amount of heat culminating in a challenging peak pose. This can be used as a goal building practice as well as a steady full body workout. Breathe, work humble and enjoy.

This 75 minute practice takes you through a series of flows and fun challenges, working on core strength, upper body, mobility, balance and stretch. Set some time aside to play and work through an extended practice.

Flow and Control:

This hour long vigorous class builds heat quick but with control. Focusing a little more on the upper body, work to refine your chaturangas.

Vigorous: "Strengthening the back body" Taking care of the back body as the focus. Join Eric on this ladder flow style to build heat, strength and finally some stretch to round out this challenging practice.

Kids


Eric guides a playful little class for all the younger yogis out there. He takes you on a 'safari' journey embodying different animals and aspects of nature. This will be a mix of play time and some minor challenges in strengthening body and mind. Enjoy

 

Meditations


In this 20 minute meditation Eric introduces a more basic and universal style that is accessible to anyone and is particularly helpful to those new to meditation. He dispels some myths and attempts to ease any overwhelming feelings towards this amazing practice.

In this meditation Eric invites you to strengthen your relationship with the inner self. This practice takes you in to witnessing the quality of the space inside, to step back and notice the fluctuations of the mind, slow down, relax and eventually create more space in the mind.

Its Meditation time. Join Eric in this technique he calls the "pendulum breath". An incredibly simple and accessible technique you can use anytime throughout the day.

Whether you are new to meditation or are looking to refresh your approach and deepen your understanding, this video is for you.

Meditation: Basic Practice and the Three-Part Breath.

A classic approach that will help improve your meditation and yoga practice. Learn the power of the breath and it's soothing effect as well as one of the quintessential yogic breaths.

Meditation: Inviting your senses.

Your senses are great tools and doorways in for a creative and playful approach to meditation. Join Eric was he leads you through a relaxing and focusing practice.

Meditation: space in the body, space in the mind.

Join Eric for a breakdown of a simple and accessible meditation practice for creating space. This is great for all level meditators and inducing a relaxing and focused state.

Relaxation/Meditation: "Yoga Nidra" Eric welcomes you back to another deep relaxation class. This can also double as a "passive meditation" practice. Take this body scanning technique to help soften the nervous system and let go.
Meditation/Deep Relaxation: "Finding Your Inner Oasis" Take this journey with Eric to find your inner oasis. This practice doubles as relaxation as well as a "passive meditation". Set yourself up for as much comfort and quiet as you can and dive in. This may be the rest you've been longing for.

Owner and Teacher at Shakti Rhythm Yoga Eric Cunliffe certified 500 hour yoga teacher. 

Eric was born and raised in Kincardine, Ontario. Being called to travel and explore in his youth his interest in yoga and meditation at the young age of 13 brought him to begin to study on Buddhist Monasteries and yoga training centers. Taught in the Kripalu tradition and the Tantric Kashmiri Shaivism tradition. Eric began teaching in 2011 and has continued his education in an array of styles, traditions and methods to best serve his students. Eric teaches with a love of movement and meditation encouraging the practice to grow off the mat and to take the philosophy of yoga into daily life.
