Beginner


Whether you’ve never done yoga before or you’re looking to deepen your practice, this is a great place to be.  Welcome to a 75 minute practice focused on introducing you to the layout of a typical class at Shakti Rhythm Yoga.  In this class, you’ll learn two foundational yoga breathing practices as well as how to set yourself up in some of the most common standing postures, then close out with a guided relaxation.

A 60 minute practice focused on introducing you to some of the most common floor postures found in a typical yoga class.  Close out with a breathing technique designed to relax and cleanse the body, breath and mind. With these classes under your belt, we look forward to seeing you in the Gentle and/or Intermediate tabs where you can feel prepared to explore your yoga practice further.   

A 75 minute practice designed to review some of the standing postures from the previous class while introducing you to a flow-based practice style with a few new postures included.


Gentle


An hour long gentle practice with an emphasis on core and lower body strengthening wrapped up with some cleansing, relaxing breath work.

A great option for the morning or those sleepier times of day, this hour long gentle practice is designed to uplift and energize! Complete with breath and balance work, this is the energy booster you’re looking for!

A one hour Gentle class where Renee takes you on a slow sweet journey of full body range of motion movements, followed by a full body stretch with a soothing Savasana at the end.

A 60 minute gentle practice focused on strengthening the muscles of the torso, rounded out with a restful savasana.

A 60 minute practice focused on mindful movement and connection to the body, breath and mind.

Strength and Sensation

A gentle strengthening practice focused on awareness of sensation in the body.

Relax and Soothe

A gentle, self-soothing practice incorporating imagery as well as rocking and swaying movements to relax your body and calm your nervous system. A great practice to do before bed or any time of day.


Intermediate


This is an hour long Intermediate flow with a core strengthening focus, elements of balance, warrior flows and a gentle relaxation to end out.

An hour long practice with a focus on moving through a standing side-to-side flow, closing out with some spinal mobility movements and a relaxing savasana.

An hour long practice focused on mobility work and deep stretches for the hips and legs.

An hour long practice focused on increased activation through the arms and upper body, closing out with a restful savasana.

A 60 minute practice focused on working into the hip mobility and strength required for our peak posture, eagle pose.

A 45 minute class with flows focused on core and leg strengthening.

In this 60 minute intermediate class, flow through a full body strengthening practice that builds in heat with each round.


Vigorous


An hour long practice with flows focused on side bends and twists that increase in heat as you go. 

Pulse and Flow

A vigorous, full body, flow-based practice focused on pulsing between poses and then pausing to hold each pose before moving on.

A short but heat filled practice focused on core and shoulder strengthening.
Be ready to sweat!


Meditations


A 20 minute full body relaxation for reducing muscle tension and stress. In this meditation, you’ll contract muscle groups and then allow them to relax fully, followed by some time to rest in this relaxed state.

Renee is a 200 hour certified Kripalu yoga teacher as well as a Registered Physiotherapist.  Her goal is to create safe and skillful practices that provide ideas for living with more presence and ease both on and off the mat.  Renee was originally thrust into yoga by a friend several years ago as a way of helping her to navigate some challenges that life provided, and she has never looked back.  She continues to weave the teachings of yoga into her everyday life for the sake of continued growth and evolution into her most authentic self. No matter where you are in your practice and what you’re bringing to your mat, Renee is looking forward to meeting you there!
